3rd Consortium Meeting – One and a half years of “Rendezfoodâ€
On September 11 this year, the third consortium meeting of the “Rendezfood” project took place under the consortium leadership of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Thomas Ludwig. We welcomed the representatives of the participating consortium partners, Vorländer GmbH and Netzfactor GmbH, as well as partners from the catering sector and the scientific contact person of the project management organization Jülich.
As representatives of the University of Siegen, the research assistants Philip Weber and Kevin Krings, together with the other project partners, presented the progress of the past one and a half years. During this time, the initial focus was on an intensive empirical investigation of the field of application and a comprehensive literature review of relevant research topics such as gamification, conversational agents, machine learning and others. In addition, initial ideas for later implementation were already collected in participatory workshops and other formats. Parallel to this, different technologies were examined and evaluated in initial mock-ups.
Based on these findings, the consortium has already taken the first steps in the development of the functional demonstrator. It was particularly pleasing that this could already be demonstrated live at this meeting and tried out by the gastronomes.
After the one and a half hour presentation, the participants had the opportunity to ask further questions and contribute new ideas to the project.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting, which was originally planned for April, could only now be made up for and was also held in a purely online format. We are very satisfied with the course of the meeting and are looking forward to the next successes in the project “Rendezfood”.
